When I edit your writing, we work together as a team. I help you translate your ideas onto the page. And, I’ll be there to guide you through suggested changes.

In addition to working from a shared document, we’ll also meet for video consults as needed.

We’ll talk about your ideas, and I’ll give you advice on how to strengthen your writing. Then, when you’re happy with your content, I’ll polish your text with a final proofread to make sure everything is perfect!

Why I charge by time, not by word

Some editors charge per word, while others charge by the hour. Many of my clients aren’t “native” English speakers. They don’t always have the vocabulary or writing experience to say what they mean with fewer words.

I feel that it’s unfair to charge English learners more to help them write concisely. Seeing how a teacher or editor “cleans up” your writing is actually a great way to learn to write more clearly and concisely!

My rates start at $55/hour and are based on the Editorial Freelancers Association.
