Hi, I’m Stephanie! I help global nomads communicate clearly and confidently.

About me

As an expat partner (aka trailing spouse), I’ve built my portable career as a global nomad. I love helping people tell the stories that make them unique and help them stand out in a crowd. I’ve helped tons of clients in multiple stages of their careers, from re-entering the workforce to switching careers, from applying to the Foreign Service all the way through their Oral Assessment.

I’m a passionate supporter of other ‘trailing spouses’ and I co-host a podcast sharing the career stories of the accompanying partners of the US Foreign Service. I also manage an online, private community network of Foreign Service spouses, focusing on professional development and personal growth.

(Learn more about the Available Worldwide podcast and network.)

In 2023, I was hired by the Foreign Service Institute as an LE Staff Training Instructor, providing professional development training to the amazing and indispensable local employees who work at US Embassies around the world.

(Learn more about my professional experience below or on LinkedIn.)

For fun, I love to go on long bike rides with my husband and practice yoga. Since moving to London, I’ve gotten back into rowing and joined a women’s rowing club on the Thames.

What I believe

I believe anyone can learn to express themselves clearly, concisely, and confidently in their writing and speaking. My coaching approach to editing, writing, and interview preparation gives you the advice, tools, and practice to help you advance your career.

We often have big dreams and goals, but change is scary and so we procrastinate. Sometimes you need someone by your side to offer encouragement, accountability, and knowledgable experience. Let’s work together to transform your intentions into actions!

How I can help

My coaching approach means that I listen to what you want to accomplish, help you identify missing pieces, and help you get to where you’re trying to go.

I can help with:

  • Writing in professional or business contexts.
  • Public speaking for presentations, introductions, pitches, etc.
  • Editing work or school projects, reports, essays, Foreign Service Personal Narratives, Statements of Interest, etc.
  • Preparing for interviews for private sector or government jobs, including the Foreign Service Officer/Specialist Assessment.

Apply to work with me!
